OneStream in New York City: Modernizing Finance for Global Organizations

On a crisp fall day in the heart of New York City, OneStream made their presence known as a leader in Corporate Performance Management (CPM) solutions for global organizations.

On October 17, 2019, OneStream hosted a Lunch & Learn event at the Microsoft Flagship Store on 5th Avenue. This was followed by an engaging Happy Hour at the famous Capital Grille.

Lunch & Learn: How OneStream is Modernizing Finance

During the Lunch & Learn portion of the event, OneStream addressed the challenges of today’s global organizations trying to work with legacy CPM platforms. Specifically, how outdated software is holding back organizations from achieving world-class financial processes.

Unlike legacy tools that require finance teams to build processes around technology, OneStream provides a foundation for finance transformation with a unified solution for all CPM processes within a single platform.

To accentuate the point, current OneStream customers spoke to the audience at the Microsoft store about how they modernized finance by replacing legacy CPM solutions with OneStream.

Additionally, OneStream has boiled down the keys to customer success modernizing finance in these five steps:

  1. Know the business. Understand success metrics and KPIs.
  2. Drive agility in planning & forecasting. Don’t focus so much on one-time events.
  3. Streamline financial close. Simplify the process and reduce the risk of errors.
  4. Automate reporting. Use automation to increase reliability and accuracy.
  5. Leverage advanced analytics. Utilize predictive analytics or scenario analysis.

Happy Hour: Success Stories Migrating to OneStream

The New York City event continued at The Capital Grille with a social gathering focused on customer success stories.

In addition to cocktails, conversations, and networking, OneStream presented information surrounding this important statistic:

  • 70% of OneStream customers have switched from Oracle/Hyperion to OneStream XF as their CPM solution.

Why have more than two-thirds of the OneStream customer base migrated from Oracle? Simply put, OneStream customers have found a better alternative to Hyperion and other cloud-only CPM solutions in the market.

Specifically, OneStream created a single, unified solution to support Corporate Performance Management that delivers all of today’s modern finance processes in the cloud or on-premise. With OneStream, there are options. With other CPM solutions, there are complications.

Today’s global organizations need options to utilize software that best fits their design and resources, not the software provider. OneStream has embraced a customer-first mentality building the ideal CPM solution for today’s organizations.

During the Happy Hour, we heard stories of how OneStream has helped organizations simplify financial processes, streamline the financial close, and unleash the power of finance to guide decision-making in the organization.
