A merger created one of the largest U.S. providers of residential and commercial building solutions. One company was already using the OneStream XF platform for financial data management and the other was not. HollandParker was brought in to create a separate cube for the non-OneStream company to blend financial data into the OneStream environment for the newly-formed company and to help automate manual processes.
The problem
The non-OneStream company used calendar year data, while the current OneStream company used fiscal year data. HollandParker needed to move the current OneStream company from fiscal to calendar year to create a cohesive view of financial data from both parties. We also needed to solve these specific challenges for the non-OneStream company:
The Solution
In the cube we developed for the non-OneStream company’s data, we created dynamic transformation rules so that when data was loaded into OneStream for the merged company, the platform knew where to map the hundreds of new accounts for each segment.
