Why I Started HollandParker
When I was 14, my chemical engineer father developed a severe case of what was known back then as an “entrepreneurial drive.”
After years of listening to clients describe challenges his employer didn’t meet, he couldn’t sit by any longer. Not while good people had problems he could solve. So he started his own chemical business.
Eight years into my own career I discovered my father’s condition is genetic. I had worked with dozens of people in enterprise finance all experiencing the same unsolved problem:
Their IT departments couldn’t provide the highly specialized technology expertise they needed.
I had a knack for bridging business and technology. And I couldn’t sit by while good people had problems I could solve.
HollandParker opened for business in 2012. Since then, we’ve been honored to work with more than 300 enterprise finance leaders.
I’ve also been amazed that the incredibly talented people who’ve joined our team share my condition: They can’t sit by while good people have problems they can solve.
More than a dozen years later, our conditions remain severe.
