2022 OneStream Training Courses: Grow Confidence Through Our Authorized Training

OneStream Training Course being offered virtually to a CPM professional

In 2021, HollandParker earned the designation of a OneStream Authorized Training Partner, enabling our firm to offer unparalleled OneStream training through an authorized training curriculum.

It is a privilege for our company to teach OneStream clients and help finance teams discover the robust features of the OneStream intelligent finance platform to grow their confidence utilizing the platform.

Each month, we support a wide variety of users ranging from OneStream first-timers to other individuals looking to refresh their skills using the platform. Their experiences and perspectives generate great conversations between users during each class.

In 2022, we are looking forward to further educating the OneStream community by offering the following OneStream training courses:

  • Application Build for Administrators
  • Power User Reporting

You can view our class schedule to learn more about when we will be offering each of these courses throughout the year. Consider why you should register yourself or your team for one of the courses!

Why Register For OneStream Training Courses?

Due to today’s health and safety landscape, each of our training classes is currently delivered virtually. In the COVID-19 era, this has made it easier for attendees to carve out time for multiple days of training. Additionally, this helps companies send more of their people to training because they do not have to incur travel expenses.

In the virtual training environment, we use software that allows us to “virtually walk through the classroom.” This increases engagement with each attendee as we navigate through training exercises. Since most professionals have become accustomed to remote meetings, there is built-in familiarity with this set-up, which reduces ramp-up time so that we can quickly jump into the actual training.

Plus, this form of training opens up the diversity of students in our classroom. We’re able to connect with more professionals and create highly-productive conversations that facilitate learning. Our team of OneStream experts delights in helping each attendee absorb the material and understand the power of OneStream!

In 2021, we developed an outstanding training environment to track each student’s progress, help them troubleshoot issues, and learn critical skills. In 2022, we anticipate building on this success by continuing to refine our approach to delivering training for both of our courses, Application Build for Administrators and Power User Reporting.

Who Should Register for Application Build for Administrators?

The Application Build for Administrators course is ideal for a wide variety of professionals that support accounting, finance, and business functions in their organization.

In 2021, we supported organizational leaders that included, but was not limited to: Finance Managers, Sr. Accountants, Controllers, and Manager of Close, Consol, and Systems. We also supported IT Administrators Sr. Functional Analysts.

This hands-on course involves building out simple applications from scratch, which helps create a foundation of knowledge about the most important OneStream  features. This is achieved using simple examples that cover the build process. Attendees will learn:

  • How to create a simple application
  • How data is loaded, then consolidated
  • The best design practices, data input methods, and common formulas
  • How to perform intercompany eliminations
  • How to add an entity
  • How to make application changes, including data integrations and workflow assignments
  • How to add Cube Views, charts, and dashboards
  • How to perform administrative functions

Who Should Register for Power User Reporting?

We highly encourage new project members who are not hands-on administrators to start with Power User Reporting. This is a great two-day class that will allow you to get your feet wet with OneStream, provide you with valuable instruction on how dimensions work, and help you “begin with the end in mind.”

In 2021, we provided this instruction to FP&A leaders and other finance team members that are responsible for supporting financial reporting and other key functions. This introductory course covers:

  • Cube View functionality and design for grid analysis and reporting
  • The building blocks of Dashboard Maintenance Units
  • The fundamentals of spreadsheet/Excel add-in features such as Quick Views and Retrieve Functions
